Images of shopkeepers in Funchal
I photographed these pictures displayed on Funchal sea front some years ago.
Funchal is a lovely city to shop, with some twisting lanes and alleys and many interesting family and independently run shops with their friendly shopkeepers can still be found. None are quiet as evocative as in some of these images, but if you explore Funchal you will find some excellent shops, as well as bars and restaurants of course.
Funchal and Madeira a photographers delight and I have collected images of Funchal every time I visit the island.
